Cuddledry Links with National Charity Child Accident Prevention Trust

Rapidly expanding baby bathtime company Cuddledry® is delighted to announce its link up with national charity Child Accident Prevention Trust.

The ingenious Cuddledry® bath towel enables parents and carers to effectively wear the towel safely like an apron, leaving both hands free for lifting their babies out of the bath and drying them. It comes with single-handed easy-release poppers that allow simple removal before lying baby down on a changing mat, still snugly wrapped.

It was developed when two mums, through their own experience, recognised that bathtime can be a struggle when you have a slippery wet newborn and not enough hands, and decided to try and solve the problem.

Now the company is actively supporting the prevention of childhood accidents contributing 10 pence from the sale of every towel to Child Accident Prevention Trust.

In a recent survey of maternity care[1], almost a third of women said they had either not enough help or no help at all from health professionals with bathing their baby.  One respondent is quoted as saying, ‘All the mums were left to get on with it.  I ended up going home the next day…and I had no idea how to bathe [my baby] properly’.

Now the Cuddledry® towel is used by thousands of parents including celebrities, and promoted by midwives.

‘Its smart design changes bathtime from a sopping wet juggling act to a snuggly bonding time, with its clever apron-style design and cosy double-layered organic fabric,” explains Polly Marsh, one of Cuddledry’s creators, “Now anyone who buys the towel will be contributing to the prevention of childhood accidents too.”

Child Accident Prevention Trust’s chief executive Katrina Phillips says: “We are very pleased  that Cuddledry® has not only created a product that will contribute to safer parenting, but that it is also proactively supporting our charity financially to help us in our work to prevent accidents among babies, children and young people.”

The Cuddledry® towel costs £24.99 and comes in a two-tone soft oatmeal and cream colour, natural white, and soft pink or blue.  It is available from the National Childbirth Trust,  Mothercare and other independent stores and websites nationwide.

Every Cuddledry® baby bath towel purchased carries the offer of a FREE liquid crystal bath thermometer.  To obtain the thermometer, parents just need to register on www.cuddledry.com and send proof of purchase.
