Local Companies Join Forces as Cuddledry Expands
The enterprising mums behind the clever Cuddledry baby bath towel have recruited Bristol logistics company, Davies Turner, to help with their distribution needs. Sales of the baby towel, which appeared on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, have increased so dramatically over the last year that the company has outgrown its former warehouse and distribution centre. The Cuddledry stock will now be housed at Davies Turner’s new state of the art warehouse at Avonmouth.
Cuddledry is the brainchild of long-term friends, Helen Wooldridge and Polly Marsh. Helen comments, “We were literally bursting at the seams at our former warehouse and needed to find a bigger and better option. We were very keen to work with another local business and Davies Turner provided everything we were looking for.”
Polly continues, “Davies Turner came highly recommended. The newly built warehouse is incredible and has the capacity to store our shipments now, and as we continue to grow.”
Davies Turner was established in 1870 to provide forwarding services for general freight and the shipping of personal effects. The company is now the leading international freight and logistics service provider in the British Isles – with the same independent ownership and management for over a century.
Andrew Slater, Logistics Manager, comments, “We are delighted to be working with Cuddledry, especially as they are a fellow Somerset based business. With more than a century of service to draw on, we have tremendous practical experience in our field and look forward to being part of the Cuddledry success story.”

It comes with single-handed easy-release poppers that allow simple removal before lying baby down on a changing mat, still snugly wrapped. · Now the Cuddledry® towel is used by thousands of parents, including a number of celebrities, and promoted by midwives. It has won national awards for being both dad and mum-friendly, and most importantly, has revolutionised bathtime for a host of anxious parents.
