Cuddledry Baby Towel Wins Innovation Award

The testers felt that the Cuddledry towel allowed them to hold baby closely and securely and still stay dry thanks to its double layers of organic toweling. Not only did all testers enjoy using this towel, but they all claimed that their babies remained calmer for longer – and everyone could enjoy extra cuddles after bathtime. Praise for the towel from the reviewers included; ‘Soft, absorbent and lovely to touch’, ‘My baby is calmer since we started using this towel, happier baby, happier me!’, ‘It is like being wrapped in two towels at once’ and ‘It helps me to bond with my new baby’.

The TIPS Award Scheme was developed by respected midwife and babycare expert, Sharon Trotter, and is the most impartial testing programme in the baby and toddler market sector.  A team of highly motivated parent testers review specially selected products and report the results back – these are then analysed and awards given to those that come out on top. The scheme aims to become the gold standard for all product testing in this market. To find out more about the scheme and to read the Cuddledry review visit www.tipslimited.com.

Cuddledry is the brainchild of long-term friends, Helen Wooldridge and Polly Marsh, who recognised that bathtime is a struggle with slippery wet babies and not enough hands. Helen Wooldridge said, “We are thrilled that our towel has been awarded a top spot by the TIPS Award Scheme.  We’ve always believed it is innovative, and most importantly that it makes life easier for new parents, but it is a real boost to know that the testers felt the same way too!”

Cuddledry’s apron design allows you to wear the towel so that both hands are free for safely bathing and lifting baby - simply cuddle your baby to your chest and wrap the snuggly fabric and cosy hood around them. It comes with single-handed easy-release poppers that allow simple removal before lying baby down on a changing mat, still snugly wrapped. To top it off, the double layer of supersoft organic cotton and bamboo fibre towelling means that you genuinely won't end up soaking wet!

This quality product has been developed to be environmentally friendly:  the minimal packaging is made from a mix of recycled and virgin pulp from sustainable forests; the organic unbleached cotton and bamboo fabric is free from pesticides and certified by OCIA International and the Control Union.

It costs £24.99 and comes in a two-tone soft oatmeal and cream colour, natural white, and soft pink or blue, and is available from Mothercare, BabiesRUs, the National Childbirth Trust, a large number of independent retailers UK-wide, and www.cuddledry.com

The Cuddledry towel is now used by thousands of parents, including a number of celebrities, and promoted by midwives.  It has won national awards for being both dad and mum-friendly, and most importantly, has revolutionised bathtime for a host of anxious parents.

The clever Cuddledry baby bath towel, as seen on BBC 2's Dragon's Den, has this week bagged yet another industry award – having won the accolade of ‘Best Innovative’ product in an analysis of baby bath towels in the UK.  The review, carried out by impartial parent testers on behalf of the TIPS Award Scheme, praised the Cuddledry apron style towel for its innovative design, environmental sustainability and high quality.  The Cuddledry came out ahead of the other apron style towels that were tested alongside it.
