Brrrr!!!!

With the icicles beginning to form on the end of our noses, we think it’s perfect timing for today’s prize! We’ve got a bit of a prize package today, with something for everyone in the family, all kindly donated by the lovely people at Mummy Mitts.

Mummy Mitts are one of those ’simple yet genius’ ideas – they’re lovely warm mittens that fasten to the pushchair, so that you can pop your hands out when you need to, without having to fiddle about or lose your mittens along the way. Clever huh?

So what have we got in the prize bundle? Well, how’s this…

  • One pair of Mummy Mitts (although we’ve been told Daddy is allowed to wear them too)
  • One matching pair of Bubby Mitts, AND
  • A SHolder Kit - an over the shoulder storage solution for kids!

See, we told you this was a great prize didn’t we?

To be in with a chance to win, simply leave a comment on this post, telling us what cosy item of clothing you can’t be without in the winter.

If you want to keep your baby toasty warm at bath time, can we recommend our baby apron towel? They’re double layered, and made from a blend of pure cotton and bamboo fibre that’s silky soft and absorbent – just what you need for wintry bath time cuddles!

Has your little one ever had problems getting to sleep? Silly question…

Well today we have a prize that just might help. These cute bunny baby comforters from Sleepytot are designed not just to be a soother in themselves, but also to keep your baby’s dummy safe in its paws, so they can find them easily in the night.

Dummies are a funny thing aren’t they? When I was pregnant I remember saying ‘my baby is never going to have a dummy’, and then faced with a screaming baby in the middle of the night, it’s a different story entirely!

If your baby doesn’t use a dummy, these Sleepytot bunnies still make lovely toys, and they can use their Velcro paws to cling onto the side of the cot instead! We have two to give away, so two lucky potential winners today. To enter, leave us a comment, telling us one thing that you never thought you’d do as a parent – chocolate buttons for breakfast, back-to-back cbeebies? You can tell us, we won’t judge! (My youngest’s first food was nutella after all.)

Fancy an extra chance to win? Every time you share this post, we’ll pop an extra entry into our prize hat for you. We’ve got some little buttons for you so it’s dead easy…

Firstly, thanks to everyone who entered yesterday’s competition – I loved reading about all the crazes you enjoyed as kids, and it brought back a lot of happy memories! I never had a Mr Frosty as a child, and was always very jealous of my friends and their ‘bouncy balls inside rings’ things… Yesterday’s winner, with her collectable Neighbours cards, was Ruth Davies, so well done Ruth!

Today we have another prize that may bring back childhood memories.

Remember Fuzzy Felts? Well, the Create-a-World play set from Whitestep, worth £49.95, is like a giant fuzzy felt set! Your kids can enjoy hours of creative play with one of these, designing their own scenes. They’re proper good, wholesome fun, just like we used to have before this interweb thing.

To enter, leave a comment on this post with the answer to the following question: If you were creating your own world, or had to take over this one, what one rule would you make sure was in place? Maybe you’d make sure everyone had a job, or that there were never hospital waiting lists? Or perhaps something really vital like free wine and chocolate for all mums? Let us know!

Whitestep are new on facebook and twitter and feeling a bit lost, so if you fancy making friends with them on either I’m sure they’d really appreciate it!

Another day another prize…

Our lucky winner yesterday, who bagged herself the ‘What a Performance!’ games from Orchard Toys, was Julie Picton – congratulations Julie!

Today the very lovely people at Skibz, (those funky bibs that catch the dribble!),  have given us one of their KidzzFarm Animal Hoppers to give away.

Remember space hoppers? Well these are a funky modern twist on those – inflatable animals that toddlers can bounce around on! This is the purple version of ‘Betsy’, but they come in lots of different colours. And in case you were thinking ‘blimey, I’ll pass out blowing that up!’, fear not – they come with their own pump too.

To be in with a chance to win, simply leave us a comment on this post telling us about a trend you remember from your childhood. Did you have your own space hopper? Or maybe your marbles collection was the envy of all the playground?

Good luck!

Monday morning has come round again, and with it another day of our advent competition! Yesterday’s winner, of the Mia Tui purse set, was Bonnie Williams, so well done Bonnie!

Today we’ve got a really fun prize, that should definitely keep your little ones entertained over Christmas – a copy of the ‘What a Performance!’ game from Orchard Toys.

Orchard Toys make loads of brilliant, educational games, which have always been a favourite in our house, and we’re sure you’re going to love them too. To be in with a chance to win, simply leave a comment on this post today, telling us what your favourite game was as a child.

Personally, I was a big Monopoly fan, and my Mum and my Gran would often go out for the day and leave me and my Grandad at home, playing games :-)

P.S. Did you see our colour changing bath mats in The Indpendent at the weekend? They said they were “a great present – something really different to the mountain of toys – but will generate hours and hours of fun.” So there you go – get yours quick before they sell out!

It might be the weekend, but we’re certainly not taking a break…

Today we’ve got a really cute prize, that would make a gorgeous gift for the little one in your life – a super cute Anne-Claire Petit elephant toy, courtesy of VUPbaby.

VUPbaby’s mission is to bring you Very Useful Products for your baby, all of which are free from nasty chemicals like BPA, and this lovely toy is no exception. Not only is it super soft and huggable, it’s also made from 100% organic cotton, and is suitable from birth.

To be in with a chance to win, leave a comment on this post, with the answer to this question: What do you think would be the best thing about being an elephant? (Personally I like the sound of all the buns you’re allowed to eat.)

P.S. To return the favour we’ve given VUPbaby one of our baby apron towels to give away in their lucky sixpence treasure hunt, and this weekend is your last opportunity to enter. Find out how to enter on the VUPbaby website. (Hint – try looking for the Orchard Toys Shopping List game!)

Morning everyone! Well it’s day two already, and didn’t you all do well yesterday? Sounds like there are a lot of chocolate advent calendars being scoffed around the country! I’m very pleased to announce that the winner of the Pink Lining overnight bag is Emma Burton – well done Emma!

Behind today’s door we have a really beautiful waffle blanket from Naturalmat. This gorgeous blanket is 100% pure, unbleached cotton, and soft enough to swaddle a newborn. We think it would make a lovely addition to any nursery.

To be in with a chance to win this lovely Naturalmat blanket, all you have to do is leave a comment, telling us how you like to stay snugly on winter evenings. Do you have a sofa covered in lovely warm blankets? A glass of mulled wine perhaps? Or maybe you wrap yourself in a Cuddledry towel?

Don’t forget too that we have a fantastic 20% off everything on our website with the code PRESENT20, so do have a look at our bestsellers if you’re stuck for Christmas gift ideas. The offer ends on Sunday though, so hurry!

Today we have a fantastic competition in conjunction with Green Nippers, to win a lovely organic baby grow for your little one. Entering is easy, read on to find out how…

Green Nippers are a relatively new organic baby clothing company, started by Victoria Thompson in 2008, after she finished her degree in Fashion Design. It was through this that Victoria really learnt to appreciate the importance of organic fabrics and ethical manufacturing.

Green Nippers are an organic, ethical and eczema friendly baby and children’s clothing label. They pride themselves in only producing Soil Association certified baby and children’s clothes made from 100% organic cotton and natural dyes.

Organic isn’t boring! Green Nippers have proven you can still be fun, funky and colourful even when using 100% organic cotton. The colours have been created using natural and non-toxic dyes, without the use of nasty chemicals and pesticides.

Green Nippers Debut Collection consists of colourful and comfortable organic baby grows, which are designed as “little outfits, and are available for boys and girls aged 0-12 months. They are very practical, easy to wear and suitable for any occasion throughout the year. Green Nippers also have a collection of matching accessories, which include organic hats, bibs, booties and scratch mittens.

Green Nippers products are registered with The Soil Association, to give you peace of mind that what you’re buying is 100% organic. There are so many benefits of clothes which are made from organic cotton; the most noticeable benefit is that they are so much softer. Organic Cotton also consists of longer fibres, so therefore is softer and gentler for delicate baby skin, reducing allergic reaction. Organic cotton helps babies who suffer with baby eczema, as it doesn’t contain the finishing chemicals or pesticide residues, such as formaldehyde, which is found in conventional cotton, which irritates their skin.

To win a gorgeous organic baby grow from Green Nippers, simply leave a comment below, with your answer to the following question: What is one benefit of organic clothing?

The lovely people at Green Nippers have also set up an exclusive discount for Cuddledry fans – save 15% off everything in the Green Nippers range by entering the discount code ‘ORGANIC’ at the checkout.

Good luck!

Competition closes 10th August 2011 and 15% discount offer is valid until the 31st August 2011.

Well, what do you know, we’ve been nominated for an award!

Get us!

Not just any award either, we’ve been nominated for a MAD Blog Award, in the category of Best MAD Small Business Blog. And no, it doesn’t mean we’re unhinged in anyway – MAD actually stands for Mums and Dads, and this new category is a recognition of the fact that there are so many parents out there running fantastic business… and blogging about it!

We’d really love it if you could take the time to nominate us:

MAD Blog Awards 2011

Nominations are open all month and the top five from each category will then go through to the voting stage.

If you’re looking for bloggers to nominate in the other categories, you might like to know that our very own Marketing Manager, Jo, actually moonlights as Slummy Single Mummy - she’s really rather good, so do check her out…

Thanks!
